What you should know
Behind the toy
The failure mode of cheap magnetic tiles is dangerous: the shell cracks and a small strong magnet falls out, which is serious if swallowed. These are riveted rather than glued, so they do not open when dropped or pulled. The magnets rotate on every edge, so any side snaps to any other and a child never has to think about polarity. Sixty pieces of squares, equilateral and right triangles — enough to go from flat mosaics to boxes, houses and domes. Held to a window they throw coloured light, which becomes its own game.
Getting started
Keep the box
Hold on to it for a week in case anything needs to go back.
Check for loose parts
Before handing it to a small child, and again every few weeks.
Clean it simply
A damp cloth and mild soap for hard surfaces. Never soak anything electronic.
Store it dry
Away from damp and direct sun, it stays good for years.
