What you should know
Behind the toy
The real worry with an art set is the wall it ends up on. Both the markers and the paint here are washable — colour lifts off painted walls with a damp cloth and comes out of clothes in a normal wash. The crayons are chunky, easy to grip and hard to snap. Everything is non-toxic and made to children's standards. The pad is 120gsm, so wet paint does not tear straight through it. It all arrives in a rigid box where each item has its own slot, which is the only reason it stays a set.
Getting started
Keep the box
Hold on to it for a week in case anything needs to go back.
Check for loose parts
Before handing it to a small child, and again every few weeks.
Clean it simply
A damp cloth and mild soap for hard surfaces. Never soak anything electronic.
Store it dry
Away from damp and direct sun, it stays good for years.
